Ashlee Temple has been studying and practicing Reiki since 2015. She has studied with several lineages in order to deepen her practice and broaden her understanding of the full historical and cultural scope of Reiki Ryôhô from its roots in Japan to the West and back.

She has completed all levels of Usui Reiki Ryôhô (Teacher/Practitioner), as well as Okuden (Advanced Practitioner ) in Komyo ReikiDo, and Okuden (Practitioner) Jikiden Reiki. Ashlee  spent over thirty years as a theater actor, director and teacher . She received her MFA from Yale school of Drama and her BFA from New York University
Her deep connection to reiki core concepts of presence, active listening, body awareness, deep focus, and commitment to daily practice all have seeds in and resonate with her theater training.

She was recently privileged to travel to Japan and visit many of the historical sites crucial in the early development of Usui Reiki Ryôhô. The name” Empty Space Reiki” is derived both as a homage to theater great Peter Brook, author of the The Empty Space and to Buddhist Japanese concepts of non duality.
